Healing Parties
Book Overview and
Author's Biography:

Gail M. Conner, Esquire, a resident of Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, wrote Healing Parties as a result of a trip to Africa in 2006. Her daughter was moving to Zambia for a year as a volunteer with the International Justice Mission, a human rights organization. Gail received her B.S. degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her Juris Doctorate from Widener University School of Law, in Delaware.

The book is about the unique experiences that have shaped her life. Her compelling story takes you on a journey, looking through the eyes of a child, a teenager, a young adult, a mother, a wife, and a businesswoman. She opens her heart and exposes the fragmented memories of her world, sharing private details of her past and present, while providing hope for the future.

This book has an underlying message of healing through reconciliation, and is a roadmap for those who are blessed to live in the 21st century. Indeed, Gail provides a message of emotional freedom for all of us – regardless of race, creed, color, economic status, or how you or your ancestors arrived upon this land that we love and cherish.

Gail shares her surprising coping mechanisms for handling life’s challenges during desegregation in the rural south and the role it played in her future. Thus, Healing Parties was born and has merged her past and her future. She hopes that her unique experiences will encourage you to successfully manage the challenges in your life.
